Bassically, I have a dell presicion 220 workstation. It was in server use for many years until i bought it for parts, strippped ect. I put a radeon 9000 pro, SBlive, dvd/cdrw and bigger HD's. I use it for 1997-2003 games under windows 2k pro, but i also use it as a game server computer under windows XP pro. In about 2 days it will be working with 2 P3's at 1000mhz. I have 512mb's of RD ram in the system that came with it. But i fount that i could buy 1gb (2x512 instead of 2x256) for about $60. would this be nessasarry? game performance on the system is fine but, for example when running a minecraft server, it holds the CPU at 100% utilization. I'm sure that a duel core setup will help, but I don't know if extra ram would even be nessasary for my purpose. The system is not at all slow, and I really don't know if i should upgrade it or just leave it.
