Hey guys i have a problem with Red alert 2 and Tiberian sun from the C&C first decade pack .
i can't play them
after tweaking the compatibility settings i get them to start , however the menus are broken i can see the main menu but when i click a button the menu graphics are not updated or garbled and i can't even see the Red alert 2 intro .
I have tried the 1.03 community patch to no avail

Any help would be much appreciated

EDIT : I forgot to mention that i use a laptop with an I5 M460 and a geforce GT335M runing win7 64-bit
I also discovered something odd when i took a screenshot the menu's did show up correctly on the screenshot but not on my monitor . This happens with both games.
Another strange thing is that with Red alert 2 when i click exit game it does show the confirmation menu with the tesla trooper in the background

I found C&C2/RA2 more trouble then the originals! also using a Win7 x64 Laptop.
In the end I tried installing in the virtual WinXP mode but got sick of the whole thing and installed it on my WinXP PC so cant be much more help

And it works! And all i had to do was go into Intel graphics options , power management and pick maximum performance .
I can't believe how stupidly simple this fix is 🤣 .
Also Ra2 NEEDS v-sync on unless you like screen tearing .

Tiberian sun is still not running perfectly . When i click on an icon to build a building or unit the game slows down by quite a bit the same thing happen when the credit counter changes .

I had that issue with my R1 m11x Alienware, I manually set it to the Intel chip rather than the NVidia card. I haven't tried it out on my newer laptop, but I'll play around with it. I'll try whitelisting it in the Optimus drivers and see what kind of results I get. I did have Red Alert installed on the m11x for a time, but for some reason got frustrated with TS and put that on my XP rig, just like chinny22.
