I would like to know how it is possible to emulate a joystick input by using your mouse in order to play X wing and TIE Fighter collector edition for windows 95, I tried using PPjoy and Glove PIE but for some reason it cannot read mappings from the joystick driver no matter what setting I choose and windows reports a problem with the new hardware

Using Windows 7 x64? It seems that Windows 7 won't load any unsigned driver, and drivers from ppjoy are unsigned. The author claims that he won't pay the certification, so the only solution is "degrade" windows security allowing unsigned drivers to load.

Joysticks and gamepads are cheap, so you should move to one of those devices.
