Yes. Pentium4 3.00E/2 GB RAM/Radeon HD2600 Pro AGP/WinXp Sp3.
Thanks.
Anyone with a more modern hardware?
Game fails on my
Phenom 4cores
4GB
Geforce gtx 285
winxp, vista, 7
also works on
intel core 2 duo
2gb
nvidia 9600
winxp
anything more modern? 😉
Core2Quad, Win7 x64, crashes on startup.
Poking around with Procmon suggests the last thing it is trying to do is find a file named ‹ÿU‹ì]é.DLL ?
It seems to work under VMware with XP.
A little more investigation suggests that things start to go haywire right about where the game tries to access MSCTF.DLL . http://forum.kaspersky.com/lofiversion/index. … hp/t229466.html in turn suggests this has something to do with the Language Bar, which can be turned off in XP but not in Windows 7.
http://www.megaleecher.net/Disable_Language_Bar suggests that MSCTF.DLL can be unregistered completely.
Are the Language settings on your Core 2 Duo different from your other systems, Mr. Robertmo?
Q9300/8GB/win7x64/ATI6790 : not working
I'll check later at my home pc (2600K/16GB/win7x64/660ti)
It doesn't work for me either (appcrash)
Phenom I / 4 GB / GeForce GTX 660 Ti / Win7 x64
The executable file is packed/protected with something. After running it and after the crash, the process is stuck in memory.
On winvista32bit and 7-64bit it crashes immediately
(my guess would be it doesn't work here at all)
But on winxp I even have a loading screen for 5 seconds and its memory usage goes up to 150MB when it crushes with:
windowtitle- Raptor
message- "Unexpected error occured when running the game."
button- OK
And game quits from memory after i press ok.
My guess would be it has something to do with gfx card on xp
(tried turning on and off language bar but still crushes)
Game doesn't work with V3 16MB (win98se) and matrox mistique 2mb (winxp) suggesting lowering resolution if not enough memory (but lowering resolution doesn't help (and 16mb is enough for any resolution 😉 ) But I guess a 2005 game may not support those cards.
So I wonder if it works for anyone on WinXP with more moder card.

I very much doubt it. Did you try unregistering MSCTF.DLL ?

Of course, considering I don't see the loading screen at all in Windows 7, we could be talking about two completely different crashes.
You could, y'know, try contacting the actual author.
Got it working on Windows 7 32 bit, the game is made using YoYo Game Maker, it seems to be a known issue that games made with earlier versions of GM don't work on Vista and newer. here is a link to YoYo wiki, that has a small program that fixes the games made with those earlier versions http://wiki.yoyogames.com/index.php/Making_ga … r_Windows_Vista and a link straight to the fix http://wiki.yoyogames.com/images/7/77/GM_Convert_Game.zip
Yes. It works after converting it. Nice find Aideka.
What was the clue that it was made in GameMaker?
On the page http://www2.bouncingfox.co.uk/index.php it says "26th January 2008 Sorry about the lack of updates recently we have both been very busy so not much has happened unfortunately. To see new screenshots and "Sixty-Five Million and One BC" (previously Raptor 2) updates check out the Game Maker forums.". I thought: well, if they make the sequel in GM, then why not the first one 😁
EDIT: At first I thought that maybe it is made in flash, because the graphics kinda look like that. Then i tried several programs to unpack the .exe, but no luck... Should have read the whole page first 😜
works for me now in vista 32bit and 7 64bit
still same problem in xp but i also have sound distorted in xp in other games from this company so i guess even if it worked i would still need to play in vista/7. I guess something may be broken in my xp, it needs reinstall anyway.
reinstalled winxp and it works too 😀
