I sometimes see .im1 files and I would like to know what it is and how to access the files. Can anyone show me how to open one or at least a program to do so? Thank you. I see them in Aemula Oldies for iOS.

If these boot those files, they are probably disk/floppy images. If they are old booter games, I'm not sure whether you can open them at all, only boot them

you don't necessarily need to boot the image to make it work, you can probably just use imgmount in dosbox...

If http://thecompuwiz.blogspot.ca/2013/03/how-to … ows-31x-in.html is any indication, an im1 file is a disk image file with a 16384-byte header. It appears that if you want to make a disk image that you can imgmount in DOSBox or open in Winimage, you will have to follow the instructions to create what they call a "partition.dump" file and rename it to a .img file.

You can get dd for Windows at http://www.chrysocome.net/dd
