Hi guys, a little bit unrelated: the Explorer keeps crashing.
It tries to restart but keeps crashing, always the same error message. Even in safe mode... Any ideas? 🙁

Are you trying to run Windows 98 SE in DOSBox? Because that generally doesn't work very well.

If this is an installation on a normal machine, your best bet is probably to re-install 98SE over your existing Windows installation.

no it's native Dos, and a fresh installation

Nothing this immediately happens after installation.
I'm thinking of doing the installation on another hardware and flip drives afterwards now.

Well, that's really weird... I tried Googling to see if anything similar had been reported previously, but it doesn't look that way.

Have you run Scandisk on the hard drive? Perhaps you have bad sectors?

Also, what's the hardware like? Did you partition the hard drive using Win9x scandisk? Do you have more than 512 MB of RAM? Are you using any particularly unusual video/sound/network card?
