I get weird sound issues (crackling sound) in The Moment of Silence (UK version). It's mainly on the dialogue. If I stand still in one area for a while, the problem "magically" disappears, and all dialogue works with no issues. As soon as I move to a new area, the problem is back. I doubt the problem is sound driver related, as I've tried with three different sound cards (SB Live! Value, Yamaha Waveforce 192XG and Terretec DMX 6Fire 24/96) and they all exhibit the same issues. I'm running the game under Windows XP SP3 on a Pentium III 800EB with 512MB RAM and Matrox Parhelia (although I've tried it with different sound cards as well. Anyone know if there are any known issue between XP and this particular game?
It's uses the horrendous "Star Force" copy protection. Anyone know of issues with Star Force and Windows XP?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks 😀
