Hi all!

Wanting to use MDK 2 because it has a nice built in benchmark function 😀

However I am having issues getting it to display correctly on V2.

It displays fine on the AGP GeForce 4, but when I try it on the V2 I get a corrupted image.

Here are some screenshots:

I tried the supplied GLSetup and this seemed to replace the entire V2 drivers. Even the wallpaper changed. It didn't fix the game however. I also tried 3dfx OpenGL ICD drivers from:

http://www.falconfly.de/opengl.htm

I copied the DLL into Windows/System and after this a third graphics option appeared in the MDK2 Launcher.

When running MDK2 with the 3dfx standalone driver I get a corrupted image like this:

The option 3dfx Installed OpenGL driver causes a crash.

For the V2 in MDK2 I always used the 3Dfx Standalone OpenGL driver (3dfxvgl.dll). The only corruption I saw in that are some of the particle effects getting their textures switched to white boxes occasionally. I also had used a January 2000-dating driver set also

So when you installed MDK 2, did you have to make any changes or did the game just work?

It worked. I did not install the outdated GLSetup

"3dfx Installed OpenGL driver" - 3dfxogl.gll, the V3/V4/V5 OGL ICD. Of course this dll isn't working correctly with V1/V2/Rush/Banshee.
Use proper "3dfx Standalone OpenGL driver", 3dfxvgl.dll.
There are only 3 disadvantages:
1) White lines in textboxes if a filtering is enabled. Game engine glitch.
2) White boxed textures sometimes (around items as the example). Game engine glitch.
3) Trilinear filtering and Hardware T&L aren't working. If you enable these features in the config - the game may break.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

Ok I tried a reference driver and got it going once, but then tried another and it broke it again. I might have used too many drivers and now I can't get it going any more.

A re-install of W98 might fix this though.
