I got this error warning when I was trying to install an old game named Ghost Line on my Windows 7 32-Bit PC. I googled it and found on the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326678) that this issue occurs when you do not have enough disk space available in the temporary files folder, which obviously isn't the case. Maybe the installer has some compatibility issure and fails to detect the correct disk space avalible? Is there a way to make the installer work without resorting to a virtual machine?
By the way, the game installer is Installshield 5.52.164.0.

You could extract the files from the cab files, but if the game requires any registry entries or configuration, it will require more than just that. I use XP mode to track what an installer does, but unless you have Pro or higher, that is no help for you.
