Having finally tracked this one down I can't even get it to start under XP. Reading around the internet there's some evidence of a patched version having existed at some time, but the only link to it I found had long since died. Anyone know if a patch did exist and if so where I can download it?

Have tested with WinXpSp3 and my cd of this game (En/De/Fr version, cd creation date is 25 Feb 1998, 23 CDA tracks).
WinXp patch is attached. Unfortunately - no movies with this patch.

Thanks for that! Tried that and at least got as far as a copyright notice before it crashed back to the desktop (Failed to create Direct Draw system) That's on VMWare, were you running bare metal?

It's possible to get it working in Win7+, but no CD audio 🙁

Nothing I've tried seems to work.

why that, wrong machine, wrong configuration?

The only really fun retro PCs to me are Amigas, I never did like DOS or Windows 98 and it certainly hasn't improved with age 😀 Much nicer and more convenient to have your games all running on your main PC, where you can.

dgVoodoo2+Dege's Winplay patch+attached file.

Again though, no CDDA.

Hi, did a quick debug and _inmm.dll doesn't work because the functions aren't even called during runtime.

Don't have much time right now, but we need to find why the CD Audio related functions are not called.

This game seems strange, there are some timing related functions/calls as if the game would check something, maybe related to read time of the CD in the drive.

Patched all jumps right before the WINMM related functions but it wouldn't work.

I think we need to run the game under Windows 9x and check what it does.

I think I just told it to send "alose cd audio" instead of "close cd audio" and CD audio played (only the first track), so I think it plays, but it's just being told to stop instantly.

Tested using winamp as player too and _inmm registered track changes fine. It's just not playing the tracks (or as I believe: playing them and stopping them instantly).

So I believe the functions are called, just being misinterpreted.
