I then decided to install JKUnofficialPatch_2008-01-16, and it makes the game lag horribly while the weapon bobbing animations run at ridiculous speed. Turning the resolution down helps, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

This is a disappointment, because the patch is a prerequisite for installing JK_Enhanced. Well, the 2006 unofficial patch is, so maybe I'll try that one and see if it works better?
