Hello all, I have been trying for some time but to no avail, to get World Championship Snooker running on a modern machine for some time.

The game installs fine but when you attempt to run it, it comes up with a message saying that the Configuration Utility has stopped responding. This is followed by a message that WCS is not configured properly.

I've tried many fixes and programs (which have all failed) such as VMWare (attempted dualboot through 98 and XP), Dxtory (framerate limiter) and DXWnd (runs programs in windowed mode). I also messed around with compatibility and various settings under properties for the .exe but again, nothing!

Help me Vogons, you're my only hope!

I see! I'll need to double check the version number but the game was released 2001 so it's a.k.a. WCS 2001.

Thanks for the reply dude, I know this is a long shot but i'll check the number when i'm home!
