Hi,

Recently played Viper Racing and I cannot figure out what's causing random crashes? Even racing or doing a replay, after a given time it will just freeze and have to restart. Anyone else experienced this? Also weird is I get a keyboard lock error upon restart? Showing in taskbar. My other games work fine.

here's my machine

P200 MMX
256MB RAM
2gb HDD
S3 Trio 64
Orchid Righteous 3D
Sound Blaster AWE32
Windows 98 SE

Not sure about that one, but all the sound is really crackly for me (Win8.1), whether I use ALchemy or not.

Have you got all the patches for Viper Racing? http://www.patches-scrolls.com/viper_racing.php

My PC spec: Win10 64bit, i7-4970K (not overclocked), KFA2 GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, Creative Soundblaster ZXr, 16GB RAM, Asus Z97-A motherboard, NZXT 410 case, ROG Swift GSYNC monitor

Sound for me is fine on Win98. Arh I read somewhere on this forum disabling a certain thing fixes sound issues. Default Acceleration check box? I knew it would be something simple. I'm running on the standard V1.0. Would you recommend installing the beta patches also? or stick with V1.1?

Don't have the game to try this and really don't want to play a racing game.... but something about "random crashes" says set single core processor affinity to me.

I did set it the cache to infinity, can that cause problems?
