So what are the steps ?
I install these, delete everything "ATI" from the programs & features, reboot, install ATI drivers, reboot ?

Currently assembled vintage computers I own: 11

Most important ones:
A "modded" Olivetti M4 434 S (currently broken).
An Epson El Plus 386DX running MS-DOS 6.22 (currently broken).
Celeron Coppermine 1.10GHz on an M754LMRTP motherboard

Well, it's worth the try... after all that's the last motherboard I have that at least runs Windows 98 😐

The other old one with an Intel Celeron II, doesn't even have an AGP slot for graphics card 😒

I have a lot of old AGP cards (3 sections of pins), but all the motherboards that can fit them are either broken or the processor is burnt... and I can't obviously find new ones for affordable prices now

I've already formatted and reinstalled Windows 98SE at least 10 times in just these 2 days 🤣

I reinstalled the graphics card drivers, rebooted and now I set the color depth back in 32bit and...

thanks to my capture card I could now show you the following BSoD:

4LLRj4Nl.png

it's just an "occasional" BSoD, it appeared as I attempted to reboot after setting it back into 32bit color mode after I reinstalled the drivers.

It says this:

An irreversible error occurred 0D in 0028:C00028C6 of VXD VMM(01) + 000018C6. The current application is going to be terminated.
* Push any key to terminate the current application.
* Push again CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot the computer. Any not saved info is gonna be lost.

Push any key to continue _

"In other peripherals" (??)

(Don't worry about that BSoD, it was an occasional one, I just rebooted fine...)

occasional? can you get back to desktop? if not youll have to restore from copy (preferred) or get in via vga mode
this reminds of my fight with a via chipset driven board years ago 😖

yes, other periferals
its not very good that you still have any entries with a question or exclamation mark in the system

can you check on direct3d?

Yeah, it rebooted just fine 🤣

the only thing that changed now is that in DxDiag it doesn't say anything in "approx memory".

Oh... DxDiag saved the log in English (well... half and half 🤣), take a look guys.

Do I have to reinstall the GPU drivers again now even though I still see 32bit color depth ?

After this "update", this is the result:

PSlitpal.png

Ok, I rebooted with CTRL-ALT-DEL, now it says this:

8xDKmcsl.png

Imossible to find a file for a peripheral necessary to run Windows or a Windows application.
The configuration registry file of Windows or the file SYSTEM.INI require such file, but it is not available any longer.
If the file was deleted, try to uninstall the application associated to it.
If you'd like to continue to use such application, install it again to recover the missing file.
