Hello,
i have problem with one of my Multiboot machines, i was hurry Windows 7 on same disc as Windows 98, without Windows 98 image.

Windows 7 are running fine, but Windows 98 which is on first partition was overwrited by Windows 7 boot loader and moved it to Windows 7 partition (booting fine).
I deleted Win7 boot loader files (i dont know i all and it same windows 98 file wasnt overwrited), but where still Windows 7 boot manager stub (BOOTMGR is missing Press any key to restart) when i trying to boot from partition perhaps overwriten boot sector (!=MBR).

I cant use Windows 98 fixmbr because i will be overwrite grub bootloader which im using (i have Linux on same disc too and its working fine on other machine) and it would probably also
broken whole partitions table list, because it down know NTFS etc..

Windows 7 created bootsec.bak file in Windows 98 partition root.

So i need help.

Maybe this could help, but im not sure:
