OK, downloaded the mechwarrior 2 mercenaries from an 'old games' site. game runs fine, except, it runs in dosbox, and when you get to a mission, you cannot command starmates. CNTL F1, in mercenaries does not work, controlled by dosbox, and when I try to do a b, and tell my starmate to 'attack', i hear 'he's going down, but never engages. Something is drastically wrong here..

1) Please get your stuff from reputable and legit vendors. Vogons does not in any way condone or support any form of "Abandonware". Hopefully by "Old Games" site, you're referring to the former rather than the latter.
2) A legit vendor that ships games with DOSBox will be able to support their product and give you information on how to fix this problem.
3) It sounds like a key mapping issue.
