I found my old Incoming CD and thought I'd like to play it. I have XP on a dual boot machine (Normal system is Windows 7). After a little fiddling I got it to install and it will start but the graphics look like a Picasso painting. In researching on this site I found an entry that mentioned that NVidia drivers after 260.99 tend to screw up old games. My NVidia card (Geforce GT 630) is not supported until versions later than that. I will get a message that a supported card could not be found.

Is that it or is there something else to try?

WineD3D could work. You will probably have to select "backbuffer" as "Offscreen Rendering" mode in wined3dcfg.cpl or use 256 color compatibility mode. It might take a while for the game to load.

Check Phil's tweak guide for Incoming

He's using the GOG version but most of his suggestions aren't specific to the GOG version.

Try dgVoodoo2 with graphics card set to ATI 8500.

Also, launch the game with commandline -SCREENMODE to get a resolution selection option! There's more command line things here: http://uk.ign.com/wikis/pc-cheats/Incoming_Cheats
