Hello everybody, finally got RE 1 working for PC under Win7 but still having one issue with the 1.0c version and Peixoto's Patch. Maybe someone knows what to do. I can't take any ingame files in the game. I also watched some actual PC walkthroughs to see if other people can take the files but they all ignore them.

When I try to take a file, for example the Botany Book, I get an error and the game crashes with this error message:

No matter if I click on "Abort", "Retry" or "Ignore", the game crashes then.
