i'm having problems trying to play both serious sam The first encounter and The second encounter in LAN

When i create the game, the other machines in the LAN can see it, but any attempt to connect to it delivers an error "The server kicked "PlayerName""

it's really strange because i know that it was possible, and it doesn't matter which Windows version i have, nor in what machine is running the server.

it doesn't work with dedicated server either

I've tried all of my computers, and from Windows 98SE up to 10

Has anyone had this problem?

The only multiplayer trouble I recall with the old Sams are the aggressive checksum checks for the binaries (i.e. preventing cracked players and hackers). I'd imagine it being like, impossible for a compiled Serious-Engine git to play with another revision for example

At least check if the versions are the same!!

well all the copies are the same, the game is installed from the same CD on all PC, firewall and antivirus aren't an issue
