I managed to connect my IBM 330, 200mhz with 160mb of ram to the internet via Wifi. I was wondering without extended kernel, is there a browser that allows me to surf the internet?
Or; I found this project on the net:
https://github.com/ttalvitie/browservice
I don't know linux and I don't have it. I was wondering if there is such a thing on windows, or if there is a similar internet service.
A thousand thanks!

You can use WebOne proxy to let old browsers load sites. Javascript won't work, but the sites will load and text and images will display, so it's helpful for a lot of things.

Your best bet is the proxy or to RDP into another machine. New Moon 26.5.0 is likely too slow and memory hungry for that machine and retrozilla likely too incompatible with the web.

Retrozilla might work okay, if slowly. I would skip installing any of the extra add-ons, then go through the settings and turn off any extra features you can like spellcheck and smooth scrolling. I also like to change the icons to text and collapse as much of the menu bars as I can to save browsing space, especially on lower resolutions.

For sites with TLS you can try visiting through FrogFind, it's not perfect but it opens up a little bit more of the modern web. Of course, you can also run a local TLS stripping proxy as well.

I've tried them, but they don't work very well. Many sites are not displayed.
RetroZillaWeb works a little better. But nothing special.

This is interesting, but how does it work, how does it install? My IBM is connected via a Wifi card.

Ok, solved I found this guide.
Now I can navigate decently!
https://github.com/rn10950/RetroZilla/issues/47

A curiosity, given that Retrozilla discreetly does its duty, and for what little I have to do, that's fine.
I was wondering, is it possible to use Outlook 97 or Outlook 6, to download mail?
If it can't be done, is there a service that creates easy-to-use emails with these old email managers?

I use k-meleon, there is a win 9x version and a w2k version supporting newer TLS.
Forget Youtube that wont work but the w2k version works on most sites surprisingly well on a faster CPU. I can brows the internet with that and my Athlon MP's just fine.

Anyways the W2K version is here free for download.

The Win 9x version is not as compatible with most sites, dont think vogons renders correctly and som sites just dont work.
The win9x versions needs some DLLS that are not supplied with it tough.

here is the k9x version, mine also needed mfc71u.dll, msvp71.dll and mscvr71.dll to work.

I got a 386 40Mhz with 64K L1 cache and a ET3000 card online not that long ago using that and windows 95, google worked fine and wikipedia too.
