Hi.

I wanted to set up my old laptop - Compaq Presario 700, with Windows 98 SE to make it work with some older games (The PC originaly had Win XP). I have a problem with finding proper video card drivers, cause TBH I cannot find the way to identify what video card does this laptop have. I am only fining info about c700 - completly different model. I found the manual: https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf/4/302/30123- … 2230bd037ec6d02 but either i am blind or it has no info about components at all. Any idea what card might there be and if there are drivers for win98?

Perhaps SpeedSys 4.78 from the DOSBENCH suite may tell you which video card you have.

You also can find out something about your VGA BIOS with debug:

debug
d c000:0

For this purpose it works on the Win 98 DOS prompt.
