I want to share this to help some people who want to run POP 3D in Windows 11.

Run pop3dpatch1.exe, it'll say successful but wait, it wasn't installed to games directory!
I saw about the RegEDIT fix. It doesn't work in Win11.. Games won't recognize it.
So the patch files were copied to the windows directory! e.g. C:\windows.Go there, sort by dates, all files were from year 1998 or 1999. Cut and pastes all these files to game directory and over write existing files.
After the 1.0 patch is installed. The game will run until the Company logo then it crashed back to Windows. What you need to do is change the compatibility mode to: Win 98/ Me by right clicking POP3D.EXE. No admin right is needed. After this, the game will run perfectly without doing anything else! I found the camera movement speed is bit slow compared to modern games so need to get used to it. My video card is GTX 750 TI so it's not a slow video card. Mid range. It can run Morrow Wind in 100 FPS.
Edit: I found the cause of slowness in WIndows 11 or 10. The Frame rate was capped at 30 FPS or less. This causes severe delay randomly. I found a fix that works DDrawCompat 0.4.0: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases
Simply extract the DDRAW.DLL to game folder. I checked the FPS with Nvidia overlay and it went from less than 30 FPS to 40 to 60FPS. Now the game runs very smooth! The only issue is the game stopped running at widescreen mode after installing the DDRAW.DLL. There's a configuration for DisplayResolution. Also I noticed sometimes the game won't start properly and crashed back to desktop before LOGO appeared. Just run the game few times, one time, it'll work fine. Weird.
