Hi. First things First: I have got all the MW editions bought from old times. So I do own them.
So I thought I will try and search the net, maybe there is a release adapted to new operating systems. Besides, I don't have a CD drive on my computer, so I preferred the electronic edition. And I found something which is called MECHWARRIOR QUADROLOGY.

hmm... how to upload an imege here?
There are a lot of options to choose from here. And most of them i don't understand. You can run the directx or voodoo version:
To run the game, you need to install Daemon Tools (or another CD drive emulator), mount the CD image and run the game.
Everything is working fine. There is sound in the intro. In the base, I can modify mechs and choose missions. Mission start works too.
Unfortunately, the game crashes to the desktop when the mission starts.
I've read this guide: A comprehensive guide to install and play MechWarrior 2 on new versions on Windows. - unfortunately it's adapted to the classic edition of the game, so I don't really know what to do.
I did one thing. I searched for dplay.dll on the Internet and put it in the game directory. This resulted in the game now hanging on a black screen and the computer having to be restarted.
Can you advise me what I can do?
Theoretically, this is a release with many corrections and adapted to new systems, so the old guides do not really apply here.
There are plenty of options in the starting window to choose from - many of them I do not understand. So maybe there is an option which would make the missions in the game working?
