Hmm... ok -- I have a V66M board, it does have onboard audio (can't be disabled in BIOS), and so it's very particular what slot the sblive! is in....in my case, it has to be in pci_slot2 (similarly, the voodoo2 has to be in pci_slot3 to initialize properly) .... obvious question, have you tried other slots?
Yeah slot 1 and slot 3 haven't tried slot 2 or 4
Just tried slot 2 didn't do anything different i have a c-media sound card that works perfect in that machine so other sound cards work and tried a bunch of pci gpu and agp gpus in there no problem
..one slot to go =)
Got the new soundblaster it worked first try
