I ordered Madeline’s Thinking Games from eBay. When I start the game, it says “Video not available, cannot find ‘vids:arbc’ decompressor.” Any suggestions?

Where are you trying to run the game? And which OS did you install it in?

I don't if you were using winevdm to run it but when I tried it I found the same problem. I've implemented support for loading win16 codecs here, https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/pull/1388, which makes this work.

how do I download it from appveyor? Also the deluxe edition of the game doesn't see the OS as supported

The game works now. One problem is the game stops sending any messages if I don't Windows-key out of the game
