As far as I am concerned, it seems the Myst DVD edition (2002) works under Windows XP while other ones might not. Ask there.

Right click on the shortcut and click on the "Compatiblity" tab. Try running it with "Windows 95" compatiblity first. Also, do you have quicktime installed? It should work with the latest version (my masterpiece version does) however if not try installing the version that comes with the CD.

As had been said earlier in this list of posts, you are trying to run a Windows 3.1 game in DOSBox, which you can't do, because DOSBox is designed for -- surprise! -- DOS, not Windows!
