Manomanomanomanomanomanomanomanoman...

Oh wow! This thing sounds SO FREAKIN GOOD! The Synth sounds are just so creamy....

I just played SQ3, Dune CD and MC2 (which actually only supports GM synth but seems to LOVE the MT32 nonetheless).

If you're at all serious about DOS gaming - pick one up. I got mine via ebay for around $50.

congrats! Though I'd rather recommend a CM-32 (or similar) because of the added sfx, for example the water in Ultima Underworld.
I have a CM-64 and a MT-32 (both bought on ebay) wired together, so I see the sysex messages on the MT-32 display and get the sfx from the CM-64.

Yeah I know, everything in small steps though...but I am keeping an eye out for a 32L or 64.

I already have a midi controller keyboard though so the MT32 is convenient.

Heh. Why do you want PCI support when what you're looking for is MIDI music in DOS games?

Now, if only SW1000XG (a PCI MIDI card) can play music for DOS games when booting in pure DOS..... 🙁

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

I want PCI support so I can use it with a modern PC and DOSBox 😜
That's why I have a real MT-32 and real SC88-Pro.

Gotta say, despite the buggy LCD I'm happy with my MT-32. I do wonder what benefits I would get from combining it with a CM-32P.
