Ah this is on Win7. I don't have a Win7 based system to test on.

I don't think it's related to Windows. On general the OpenGL compatibility was quite same on both OS wherever I testrd

Edit: which other games had issues?

I've never been able to get front buffer writes working reliably on Win10 (all my Intel based machines are on 10).

Hexen 2 works. Will test Formula 1 now

Did the loading progress bars work?

If you mean the Loading and Client Dropdown bars, yes they work (considering you mean they move progressively)

Also Formula 1 works now

+ Quake 2 works. I had to spend some time finding the config.cfg change of setting fullscreen to 0 (can't RReady do it itself?)

There's an updated ref_v1k which can do it (it's a 1 byte change). With the alpha, If you remove Quake 2 from the games list by right clicking and then selecting "remove", delete ref_v1k manually and add the game back in a new version of ref_v1k should be downloaded which can toggle full screen (it's a bug with ref_v1k, window style ex is incompatible with modern windows). My server may be down for maintenance this week, so it might not work.

[EDIT] Mind you, this is beta 3. I don't have a patched build of beta 5. In fact, I don't have a copy of beta 5. You need beta 5 for water to render correctly with v1k_nopageflip set to 1 (game internal vsync turned off).

Tested Interstate 76: works fine
Myth: works fine
Mech2: works fine
GPL: shows a black screen with parts of menu flickering behind

Also SC works fine: I saw I had set the game to use 1920x1080x60 which was problematic and 640x480x60 fixed it

Excellent! So i76 just doesn't work on your GTX based Win 11 system?

And a thunderstorm just started up, delaying my release.

Keep dosbox in a separate folder. ICR2 should run ok now. Not tested anything else.

I think I know why rready crashes with dosbox randomly when using dma.

Dos box's memory access is designed for single threaded operation. The rendition support accesses dosbox ram in parallel which probably leads to corruption. I need to make it thread safe, which might make dosbox a bit slower. How slow. I don't know, but it's necessary for multithreaded operation.
