If you could check ICR2 for 30 fps and Whiplash (both in DMA mode) for 60 fps or higher.

The central mirror in ICR2/Cart2 can be turned on by setting mirror=1 in rendition.cfg (not dosbox-rendition.cfg).

I'm profiling the code right now. The profile claims there're lots of sleep(0) (spin time), but they only occur when the threads are idle.
