Is it possible to configure the Au30dos.ini to just use the MPU-401 port under a Win98 pure dos boot? I have a SB16 and a GUS MAX also in the system that are working fine for audio. I just want the the midi out on the vortex, so I can swap the SB16 for a less noisy SB16 which has the hanging notes bug or a SB Pro.

If I remove the SB emulation lines from the .ini file it just loads up with the default values and doesn’t disable the cards sound output but still stops the real Sound Blaster working.

I am aware there are other ways to get another midi out but I have run out of ISA slots and I cant find a 3 ISA slot board that will let me under clock my PII 400 to 133MHz like my BX6 does. Are there any PCI MPU-401 interfaces out there that have dos support?
