You have no chance of emulating eax
you could buy an external creative labs card swayee will know
edit:
Sound Blaster Play should do the job
(not play 2)

The USB deal might do EAX but it will probably hit the CPU pretty hard.

Could get a PC Card Audigy 2. Hardware accelerated EAX 1-4. Will play thru the notebook speakers or external speakers. Can be troublesome on some Cardbus bridge chips though.

Thx, will search for it. Btw, you know what version of EAX support my SB0270? Cause i can't find info anywhere...

That is Sound Blaster MP3+. I had one long ago. It supports EAX 2. It is calculated on the CPU though.

I know that it will sound petty but its about 30 usd for Audigy 2 ZS Notebook, on ebay... And whole laptop is about 100 usd there 🙁

So test the MP3+ and see if it works ok.

Aaaand i have another question, but now about modern pc 😀

I've got new laptop, lenovo y580 with windows 7 and realtek chip ALC269. In AIDA64 i have same crap:

DirectSound Device Features:
Certified Driver Yes
Emulated Device No
Precise Sample Rate Supported
DirectSound3D Not Supported
Creative EAX 1.0 Not Supported
Creative EAX 2.0 Not Supported
Creative EAX 3.0 Not Supported
Creative EAX 4.0 Not Supported
Creative EAX 5.0 Not Supported
I3DL2 Not Supported
Sensaura ZoomFX Not Supported

But maybe i have more chances to restore eax on this machine?

Well, looks like AIDA64 is not the proper way to test sound...

I have desktop with http://www.soundblaster.com/products/sound-bl … e.aspx#features and aida tells the same, no eax...

No idea about new versions. Remember that EAX hasn't changed since like 2005 anyway.

Alchemy is for creative cards, and i have laptop with realtek, any solution for it?)

You could try to see if you can get http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Blaster_X-Fi#X-Fi_MB to work with your audio chip.

Nope, Creative sued daniel_k and that was the latest released version, even though nowadays there are plenty of methods to make ALchemy work even with non-Creative cards (I may explain how to simplify these complex methods one day in the future)

Though, are you using latest drivers? Specific drivers are necessary most of times.. STAC 9750 & ALC269?
Even though in best case scenario everything would just work with plain basic windows driver

EDIT: oh, and besides, if you just want to dump old these hassles, just buy something like Asus XONAR U3, supports EAX from 1 to 5
