Okay so im a newbie whattya gonna do? I got angel devoid to run with dosbox! 😊 Although it is still choppy and the sound doesnt match the frame rate. Any ideas out there? 😐
First - what are your computer specs?
Second - how many cycles are you running at?
Third - run dosbox in the 'dynamic core' instead of normal. (Change in the dosbox.conf)
first- p4 3.4ghz gforce7800 xp
second- 3000?
third- how do i do that?
Well I don't have this game perse, but I did checkup on Mobygames. An adventure game from 96, sounds like it will require quite a bit more cycles.
To change settings like cycles and the core, open up the dosbox.conf in your dosbox directory using notepad.
Could you give me a little more info - is this a cd game? If so I would suggest trying out 15000-25000 cycles with dynamic core. Set these in your dosbox.conf:
core=dynamic
cycles=25000
That might help you out. If not come back and let me know. I'm not sure, but judging by your CPU you can handle that amount of cycles 😀

No prob. I think the biggest issue with telling people to raise cycles, is that they aren't sure how high is "high" and what is a reasonable amount. 😁
