Does anyone know how to do that? I always wanted to play the game again, so I bought it off ebay recently. Curious, because it says on the disc itself that it is MAC CD-ROM or Compatibles, but I know there is a way to play it on XP. When I put it in my computer, it did absolutely nothing, and it recognized there was a CD in the drive, but nothing was in it once i clicked on the D Drive. Any suggestions?
darkforces run on DOSBox. Though, on my AthlonXP@2GHz, the speed isn't optimal(slowdowns when firing).
It sounds like you purchased a copy of the Mac version. Will will either need an actual Apple computer, or a Mac emulator.

Search Google for Basilisk II. Win32 port is a little old but very good. That will do for 680x0-based Macs. I don't know much about Power Mac emulation, supposedly Pear PC does that.
Actually, the Win32 port of Basilisk II has seen a fair bit of activity lately. New snapshots are available at http://www.gibix.net/dokuwiki/en:projects:basilisk2 .
Basilsik II will run the 68k version of Mac OS 8.1, and Pear PC will run some versions of Mac OS X. Mac OS 8.5 - 9.0.4 can be run with SheepShaver. There is presently no way to emulate Mac OS 9.1 - 9.2.2.

Im not very good with these kinds of computer issues, so I have no clue on where to start! or what to do!

Or you can just go back to eBay and buy a proper DOS version that will actually work with your computer. This will likely be far, far easier for you.
Funny thing is he could probably pick up an old mac for about the same price. The advantages of vintage hardware:)
