Is there any place to get one of these ancient "sound cards" ? it would be cool to hear one again 😊
I search ebay from time to time, but found nothing...

A few games had those bundled although those games themselves are not easy to find either (like LGOP2). There were literally hundreds of different names for those "cards" -- Covox Speech Thing and Disney Sound Source were the most common but look for Lifesize Sound Enhancer, Sound Port, EasySound, etc.
It may be easier to build the device from scratch. There were a few sites with schematics around, it's actually very simple.

The Aztech Sound Galaxy NX Pro 16 claims to support / emulate the Covox / Disney devices (not a joke). There is a jumper on the card to emulate them, and another one to even emulate the parallel port connection. As both devices are quite simple it is also likely, that there is no emulation at all and the true hardware / necessary chips are on the card. I never tried it out, but you should find this card at ebay (very cheap).
There were many versions of this card with rather similar names: Sound Galaxy NX Pro 16; Sound Galaxy Pro 16 II, Sound Galaxy NX Pro 16 FP, Sound GalaxyPro 16 III PnP - but as far as I know, only the first one has the feature.
