I did get 3dcif 3d-demo to work correctly with many driver installations with Rage XL PCI 4752, but that does not say nothing about correct 3dcif games support yet. Also i need to repeat this, because with new windows 95 install, errors are here, that i did get before. I know what drivers i have used and i do not add any new ones now.

At least 4 files was changed in this winme beta driver that i used when it started to work with 3dcif 3d-demo, but many driver installations was before that. This driver uses winme beta files and 4752 @ 2D works out of the box. I have no space left in drive c: to install directx7, i used directx6.
https://docviewer.yandex.ru/view/0/?*=i0hjiY1 … TY1MTMzNzk4OSJ9

I installed this driver with PREINSTALL.BAT and later without .bat, but i changed one precopy Ati_ddae.prec file to this old 5029 version an repeated 5029 for other Atid32ab.dl_ file in this package as well, ati3dcif.dl_ was changed to 2692, but still i miss something, new installation is the same, like others. If the 3d-demo gives errors, so it will be in game situation, i am at least 3d faulty colored state with games if i can start 3d-demo again normally ( it showed correct moving ati logo). d3d-ogl.reg and other reg file in that driver package i was started at some point after driver installation, was it needed or not, i do not know.

Usb cd-rom does not work at the moment in win95, i can use virtual cd with Tomb Raider now, next will be game test, just need to start that 3d-demo witout error again 😀

I am making a new attempt to get the most out of my Scovery machine with Rage LT Pro 4MB.
I will make use of several OS. One will be Win95b with either DX6 or DX6.1
Where can I find the CIF tests to make sure that CIF is working well. After that I will test some D3D and OGL stuff.

5.38.2_EJ_FUJITSU 4.11.01.2598 (5.38.2-B05J) - ATI Display Driver for Windows95/98 1999/06/24 Ver.4.11.2598
This is now the latest MACXW4 original driver that i know, No OpenGL and no ATi Control Panel out of the box, but D3D and 3DCIF are working well, just make downgrade for RageXL and Rage2C, others probably work directly.
Download:

Google translation to English:
https://www-fmworld-net.translate.goog/biz/fm … &_x_tr_pto=wapp

Out of the box this Fujitsu driver has these cards supported and has manual installation only if w9x25981.exe, w9x25982.exe and w9x25983.exe are unpacked:

This driver may have more luck and success with the Rage XL PCI (4752) and 3DCIF in the end result, but lets see, still WIP, that i slowly do. 😀

I have two unfinised and modified MACXW4 4.11.2598 drivers with minimal setup.exe installation files added and i can upload those if someone need them? That has JP - Japan language files removed and ATi Control Panel added at the moment with OpenGL file included and correct macxw4.inf for OpenGL. Also downgrades are made to add RageXL AGP and Rage2C support for 3DCIF.

OpenGL still does not work even if i use just this one 4.11.2598 macxw4.dr_ (drv) file with other, older macxw4 driver setup, that has functional OpenGL and the moment when i go back to 4.11.2582 or older macxw4.dr_ (drv) file, all ok, also if i edited original 4.11.2598 driver macxw4.inf file, all the same, no OpenGL, just changed 2598 to 2582 and OpenGL is working inside that original 4.11.2598 driver. Anybody has more luck with this latest Macxw4 4.11.2598 and OpenGL (i am testing it with my Rage XL AGP at the moment)? Any help would be great 😀

ATi MiniGL (Opengl32.dll) works fine with 4.11.2598 and even Rage Pro Tweaker OpenGL changes are working with ATi MiniGL (Opengl32) driver, why OpenGL does not work, just because of this one 2D macxw4.dr_ (drv) file.

ATi Rage Pro OpenGL speed behaves very differently and depend on the Game, PC and OpenGL version, ATi Quake1/2 miniGL is usually slower, than some versions of the OpenGL and difference is huge, strange that latest 4.11.2598 macxw4.drv does not work with OpenGL at all, anybody can point out working solution or fix? Thank you!

Edit:
Rage Pro and 4.11.2598 macxw4.drv works fine also with opengl, just with rage xl it is not working.
Rage Pro - direct3d, opengl, 3dcif
Rage XL AGP 474D - direct3d, 3dcif, no opengl (quake1/2 minigl works)
Rage2C - direct3d, 3dcif

I found newer ATi 5.38.3 NEC driver, but for the macxw4.dr_ (drv) part it is using older 2573 macxw4.drv version, other 5.38.3 files are updated and many are newer than in 5.38.2 FUJITSU driver, i update my macxw4 driver soon (this month), downgrade macxw4.dr_ (drv) to 2582 if opengl is needed for Rage XL card, i add this for downgrade path.

I also add RageLTMan HMDL reg files to my driver, info from RageLTMan txt, one reg file will enable HMDL, the other will disable it. HMDL "will place the video command stream into AGP memory. This should give you a performance boost in games that have a lot of vertices." Althought this option really does work, i recommend it for people with lots of RAM. I noticed a major difference only after i installed a 128 meg chip in computer (which brought me up to 160mb). If you get problems after using the enabler file, disable HMDL with the other file. NB! Please note that you must reboot before any change takes effect.

I tested it with 256mb ram and rage3, performance boost is there 😀

Thank you.
What about Tomb Raider. I saw someone playing it under DOS accelerated. It is only voodoo1 - Glide possible? Or also for CIF?

Hi Gona. There seems to be some trouble with the site. It used to work earlier for me. I have to use the Internet Archive to access old versions. Isitdownrightnown says that the site is down.

I tried 3 different ISPs and they have the same result.

Anybody that has 3dcif hardware and uses right driver can try 3dcif demos out,
i added all of them to the 3dcif-demos.7z package.
