Newb to DOSBox - not new to IT

I've run up DOXBox 0.72 on an XP machine and it works fine. Mounted a couple of folders from my real hdds no problem.

I need to run a frequency measurement tool comprising an outboard box of electronics and some supporting software. The box of tricks connects with a parallel/centronics connector.

The software works fine, in that all the menus operate etc. I haven't plugged in the hardware and won't be able to until next week when I need it to be running - the hardware is not with me but the software is.

The question is, of course, is will DOSBox 0.72 see the parallel port. If it's no then I'll put another machine together and run real Dos 6.22 or similar but I rather not have to.
