Anyone looking to trade for a GUS? I have a Classic, Max and Plug-and-Play available. The Plug and Play has the original box. Or I have a Pro Audio Spectrum, Diamond Monster Sound PCI (with daughterboard), and several sound blasters and voodoo cards if you'd rather trade for a couple of these.

I'm looking for a Roland SCC-1. Can be a 1A or other variant, doesn't matter to me. PM or reply if interested!

The QuestStudios forum is specific to sound/MIDI, but is very quiet, unfortunately. It would be nice to see interest picking up on that site, in the Classifieds section in particular. There is a community of very knowledgeable people over there. I have a SCC-1 card (that I do not want to sell) and also a defective one, but you are probably not interested in that.

Didn't know about the no-swapping topic rule.

Man, it's tough to find one of these. Is there a hardware swapping site specifically... I mean besides Ebay?

SCC-1 are a bit hard to find and can sell for quite a sum. It's a great card, but I usually recommend getting the external SC-55. You can use it with DOSBox and several machines if you like.

Ebay has one quite regularly, so just keep an eye out for it. Be prepared to pay good money, but apart from that it's pretty safe and you should be happy.

Thank you for the recommendations and sound advice...

Just fyi it seems queststudios.com has disabled registration, so can't post there anyways for the time being.

Well, truth be told I have 2 of these... but they are both in my dos arcade rig (it's a versus system with two identical machines, for Doom y'know), so they are tied up. My new project involves automating a real piano, and thought I'd use an SCC-1 since I love these so much.

Well, so it looks like I'll have to switch gears and use something else. An external module might be better suited anyway. So right now I'm trying to get a vintage roland MPU-IPC working. If I can, I'll be looking for a set-top sound canvas.

There is Roland SCC-1 on eBay at the moment: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Roland-SCC-1-Soundkart … =item19c862354f
However, the seller is only shipping to Germany, perhaps a request might make him change his mind about that. Starting price is 99 Euro though, with one bid so far.

Why is the PAS so desirable? Are there any games with sound written specifically for the PAS?
