I'm happy to go with LCDs. Unlike with consoles or Amiga, it seems all the LCD screens do support the DOS refresh rate of (whatever it is... 75Hz or something like that).

So in games that have scrolling you get that smooth scrolling just like back in the day. The same can't be said for hooking up a C64 or Amiga to an LCD monitor...

Just make sure it's a 4:3 model like the 1024 x 768 or even better 1600 x 1200 panels. Some LCDs are widescreen and can display 4:3 DOS resolution letter boxed (black bars left and right).

So for me, I don't miss CRT Monitors one bit...

I use a nice old 15inch Packard Bell screen that works just fine

Here is an image of how it "almost" looks like (not my image, I just used google for it)

the one I got has LED's and buttons under the logo.

It has a nice resolution support too. (Only tested it up to 1600 x 1200 with Blood)

I'm using a couple 17in LCD screens for my LAN rigs and a single 17in CRT upstairs. I plan to replace the CRT though and perhaps create a new retro corner in one of my spare rooms 😀

Whats missing in your collections?
