Hi all, been creeping this forum for awhile and starting looking around for any Roland stuff in my area.

I was able to find a Roland S-MPU/AT for nothing but looking online it appears to be pretty useless without the breakout box for the midi connection.

I would be looking to use this with an older 486/Pentium1 and a Roland mt-32.

Is this card suitable? Are the breakout box's hard to find?

Sound I find another solution all together? Any help would be appreciated

Seems like a proper MIDI interface. Yes, it is a keeper. For the breakout box, look around in music equipment ads, instrument shop sell-outs, etc. You might score one at a fair price. That is how I got my MCB-1 for the LAPC-I. Shipping can be a killer though when buying from far abroad.
