I forgot to mention I uploaded evoodoo 0.1 nemesis.

Strange, I had this up, I wonder where it went?

My next big parts of this project are:
- make a list of what I have source-only that needs to be built for Windows, for you
- raid my old Win98 tower (specs here: Stiletto's GhettoPC (TM) ) where I'm certain I have an archive of early Glide wrappers (I owned a Voodoo2, then a Voodoo3, so it was just for curiosity. I also want to image the drive for future virtualization without reinstalling Win98 *crosses fingers*)

leileilol,

Do you have a copy of those?

I have a few. Mostly these can be obtained through the old Cosmo Player VRML Plugin releases, it is a faster software GL ICD than the one Microsoft ships 😀

[UPDATE] The TitaniumGL author does not keep old versions, based on our correspondence.

Been playing around with Warp10 on Windows 8.

It appears to support DX7 and DX8.

I loaded up Monster Truck Madness 2 and Morrowind. Both worked in D3D.

I couldn't get fullscreen in MTM2 with software or D3D so I slapped Dgvoodoo in there and set it to D3D7 and MTM2 popped up in fullscreen so I knew it was working.

I only have the DX9 patch of Thief 2 and System Shock 2 installed right down instead of the DX6 version but the DX9 version loaded fine. (Although kinda slow at at 1920x1080).

Next to test out Blood 2 and Shogo..... EDIT Having issues with Blood 2 and Shogo on Windows 8. Keeps compalining about not finding a renderer after you try to run the game a second time.

To get Warp10 in Windows 8 you need to disable all of your video adapters in Device Manager and verify you are using the "Basic Display Adapter".

AFAIK, the Warp10 dll in Windows 7 only allows for D3D to software of DX10/DX11 unlike the Warp10 in Windows 8. I'll slap some instructions on the ftp site this weekend.

Been digging around and was able to upload a couple more items. Anything dated 8-5 and 8-7 are those.
Everything else I have you already have uploaded.

I added some instructions for Warp10 on Windows 7 and 8. It's only really useful for Windows 8 since Warp10 in 8 emulates all D3D.

Interesting about support for Windows 98 with TitaniumGL. That's kind of odd.

A little news from my end:
- talked with Keith Harrison, author of GLDirect. He says he'll dive through his archives looking for interesting things he's legally allowed to share with us (if anything). Thanks Keith!

- also talked with euan (who I've talked with before), that early alpha ATI 3D CIF wrapper he worked on (little to no actual code written) that comes up in discussion sometimes will be shared. Thanks Euan!

- Dege just sent me the source to dgVoodoo 1.50beta3. Dunno if it compiles but it's at least a little newer than the previously released 0.140plus source. Thanks, Dege! 😁

- and at some point this weekend I plan on disassembling my 1999 PC to get at the hard drives, where I'm certain I have a collection.

I'll look at those links at some point!

Yes, the following components can be easily compiled by MSVC 2010, I've included a fresh-crispy VC2010-solution file into the pack for them: glide.dll, glide2x.dll, dgVoodoo.exe, dgVoodooSetup.exe. 😀

Heretic II and SiN also has a Rendition Verite MiniGL. Does that qualify?

Heretic II also has a G200GL driver for Matrox G200, which is just a Direct3D wrapper strictly for that card.

Sure? I''ll admit this isn't (yet) a terribly well-defined project.

Went through my old hard drive: though a huge nostalgia trip, didn't find the huge wrapper collection I expected, but I found a few. There may be a few more as I dig into it.

Uploads:
/Glide/Direct3D/DirectGlide/DirectGlide(99-02-18).zip
/Glide/OpenGL/gl2ide/GL2ide vB2.zip
/Glide/OpenGL/OpenGlide/OpenGLide_007b5beta_20021106.zip

Also uploaded
/Glide/Direct3D/dgVoodoo/dgVoodoo1.50Beta3_src.zip

Correction: This was simply the other DirectGlide revision with a different name. Deleted.

Done! Yeah, those were alt versions.

Lots of the PowerVR GL releases are actually the same 1.0.0.1 MiniGL driver with a slightly or unchanged readme file. The Half-Life one is 1.0.1.9.

Yeah, PowerVR glquake1 and glquake2 are the same opengl32.dll file with different filenames.

The following Windows operating systems will wrap OpenGL to Direct3D when no OpenGL ICD is present:
Windows XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, 7, 2008R2, 8, 2012.

You can test this by renaming the OpenGL ICD and launching Quake 3.

This wrapper will also work when using WARP10 on Windows 8 & 2012.

IIRC, this may also be controlled with the Application Compatibility Toolkit but it has been a couple of years since I last checked.

I am finding it hard to call pure graphics libraries "wrappers", we'll see.
