I have recently discovered the existence of an nVidia video card, made in the 1990s that rendered scenes using quads instead of triangles, and for which a handful of games were made, among which Virtua Fighter, as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK9sg_93iCE
This made me curious to know more, so I googled "nv-1 emulator". I have found a couple of interesting links on this very site:
1) an attempt to reverse-engineer the NV-1 drivers, at NVIDIA NV1 Wrapper
2) the NV-1 software development kit, at http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=706
Has anything been done with that information? I would really like a wrapper that translates NV-1 calls to Direct3D 9.0c calls and lets the user increase the resolution at will. Using Direct3D 9.0c would also allow eventual stereoscopic drivers to kick in and display those games in real 3D.
