I used both GSETUP and the Compaq Deskpro 386 setup disk program(setup.exe) to configure the virtual machine(UniPCemu emulating Compaq Deskpro 386). But no matter what settings I enter(and they're setup according to the emulated system), it leaves byte 0E of the CMOS RAM set to 0x20? So according to https://www.matrix-bios.nl/system/cmos.html , that means the CMOS configuration information is invalid somehow?

Bit 5	CMOS configuration information
0/1 = valid/invalid

I'm using the XT-IDE AT BIOS for this system.

Anyone knows if I've done something wrong?

Edit: After some running GSETUP and setting up all settings again(from erased CMOS RAM, then booting and running gsetup, quit gsetup and letting it reboot the virtual machine to save changes), now the BIOS takes the settings correctly.

Is there maybe a problem with the compaq deskpro 386 bios shutting down the computer during POST? What happens on real machines?
