I don't have the hardware anymore, but I would like to try and program a little routine that might one day become a retro game.

Is the 8514A emulation in DOSBox or other emulators accurate enough for development of programs intended to run on actual hardware? I'm talking about the GUI acceleration like BITBLT and so on.
