Turns out it takes very little to pry these tiny fellas away from their internal pins and that's game over for the cable.

So the reason this hurts so bad is because it's a "special" 3.2 gen 1 cable for my oculus rift. They're not cheap and I want to attempt a repair.

After checking out the pinouts, I'm thinking it might be a lost cause and bound my expertise. Does anyone have any bright ideas or experience repairing a cable in this way?
