Does the horizontal zoom and vertical zoom x2/x4/x8 widen the windows displayed to twice/4 times/8 times the amount of pixel on the output?

So if it starts at 0,0: with a width programmed to 32x32 pixels, does setting the horizontal zoom to x8 make the window end at 256,0? And the same at the vertical zoom (ending at 0,256; or if both are set to x8 ending at 256,256)? Or does it only display 4 pixels from the bitmap on each row for only 4 rows displayed(out of the 32 rows and 32 horizontal pixels from the bitmap)? Of course the same for both the CRTC and Sprite setting of the window?

In other words, when running WhatVGA on a real ET4000/W32(/i/p), press 9(hidden option) in the main menu, choose a video mode(8-bit is most easy to see), then press + to increase zoom. What happens to the window? Does it stay the same size horizontally? Does it become wider(overlaying more display pixels)? Does the pixels within stretch out-of -range within the window(not being seen anymore)?

Anyone can test this on a real ET4000/W32/i/p?
