Interesting. I've actually had worse experience with MSI, although that was probably due to a VIA chipset.

Woohoo! I managed to get the ATi 9600 working on the A7V600-X
Just make sure FAST WRITES is disabled in bios and the VPU Recover from ATi Catalyst is disabled (a nasty tricky thing to do when your screen is totally corrupted and the system tends to hang/restart). And by the way, does anybody know if there is a registry entry for manually enabling/disabling VPU Recover?
Haven't found it.

PS - Just because I have already bought and paid for the nForce2 board, I am still getting it in a few days. I am sure it will perform even better than VIA. 😎

PS2: ATi should offer the user the opportunity to disable some critical options from the drivers right from the installation point.

PS: I have just one minor bug with my new board. Windows Update gets redrawn incorrectly but it's still usable. Apart from that, everything runs fine. I will check nForcers forums to see if anyone knows something.
