Hi, is there anyway to run BUILD.EXE? I always see the error that "320 x 200 is not supported"
Thanks.

Bump once.
How are you trying to run the .exe?
Hi.
I am running DosBox: 0.74_r4293.
I open DosBox, I mount the "duke3d" folder to y:
The contents of y: includes files such as "GOODIES", "SHARE", "ATOMIC15.BIN", "DN3D".
I then CD into "dn3d"
I then invoke "build"
I then press "y" to accept the terms / license
I then receive the message: "320 * 200 not supported in this graphics mode".
Thanks for your response.
Sorry for the long wait, running bsetup.exe and changing the graphics mode to 'screen-buffer' mode should solve your problem. I recommend also trying the VESA modes, as they provide higher resolution options.
But why do you even want to run build.exe? Wasn’t the game executable called duke3d.exe?
Sounds like the OP is attempting to run the level editor for Duke Nukem 3D.
Thank you for the help. I did not realise there was a "BSETUP.exe"; configured that to use VESA and it works great.
Can close this post, thanks.
If you want to edit or create Duke Nukem 3D levels, and aren't bothered about using a period authentic PC to do so, then Mapster might be a better choice of level editor. I've never used it (I've never edited DN3D levels), but I occasionally visit DN3D forums, and Mapster seems highly thought of. Mapster comes with eDuke32 (the modern day fan-made Duke Nukem 3D Windows game engine - 3D Realms released the source code for DN3D a couple of decades ago) from
there might be other DN3D level editors, too, but I don't remember reading about them.
