I have and old russian programm which i really need to use...it launches perfectly but i see only wicked symbols - not the russian letters....Could somebody telll how it could be cured?

I assume it only worked on russian-layouted dos versions? Then you need
codepage switching (next dosbox version should be capable of this).

I was wondering, are you talking about the 0.66 CVS version?
If so, does a user need to switch it manually or does DOSBox detect the need for a codepage switch?
EDIT : Never mind, my bad (Use KeyB), actually thought it where two separate issues keyboard input and character visualisation.

Yep keyb cares about codepage switching (that is it integrates those
mode con cp xx things) as they're closely linked to keyboard layouts.
