Hi,
I thought I would mention about a problem I am having with Fantasy General. I am using Dosbox 0.70 and have an Athlon64 x2 Dual core 4200+ CPU, ATI X800XL, 2Gb Memory. WindowsXP System Service Pack 2.

Here is what I do, please tell me if I am doing anything wrong. I am using Fantasy General on CD-Rom.

commands:

mount c: c:\oldgames (This is where Fantasy General is c:\oldgames\here)

mount d: d:\ -t cdrom -ioctl (D Drive is my Real CD-Rom)

(Change to C Root) c: (i.e. c:\oldgames)

(Change to Fantasy General Directory) cd fg

(Run Fantasy General) fg

Note I have setup the sound correctly. When the game starts it plays the video fine. The sound is fine too and the speech. When the music plays it seems alright, but as you start playing the game it seems to jump from track to track, or just plays two tracks back and forth. Any ideas. I did a backup of the game on Bin/Cue. Would it help if I mount the image on Alcohol and then use a virtual drive to play the game? Any suggestions are welcome!

Thank you,
Hillsy.

Update on the situation....

Ok, I tried to use a virtual drive with Alcohol,

Mounted the Cue file on Alcohol. Appeared as FG_Ver1.0 on the Virtual Drive. Everything ok so far..

Virtual Drive was designated as g:\

So.......I remember about only using c: and d: so......

I went into Dosbox...and

mount c: c:\oldgames

mount d: g:\ -t cdrom -ioctl

Changed to root c:

cd fg

fg

and same result as before.

Anybody have any comments?
