Hi,

please help to find some reasonable cheap soundbar to go with my my old retro rigs.
I am still looking for some case inbuilt speakers (see below) but until I will able to get something, I am looking for a more recent solution as a mini/micro soundbar 😉

Any recommendations (for germany)?

Inbuilt Speaker

GPL-2.0-or-later

Building my own PCs since 1991 - for my retro builds it's "no CF-disks, no Floppy emulators, no modern cases etc.", only the real and authentic stuff whenever possible.

You'd be hard pressed to find a good soundbar for PC usage that is compatible with older audio inputs. Is optical audio an option for you? If not, you're going to be limited to the 2.1 speaker sets.

Oh sorry, but it is down to a simple 3,5mm jack connector (as ususal for soundcards), no optical connector or otherwise, as we are talking about retro hardware 😀

Dell AX510 soundbar (for Dell monitors) has surprisingly good sound.
Well, at least for me 😀

I've already got a DELL Soundbar for my AX510 monitor and you are right about the sound,
but it won't fit with my retro monitor with 4:3 monitor ratio - sorry, but also a "no go" for retro computing 😉

I am looking for a resonable priced stand-alone soundbar (OK, maybe with a usb-power supply) that is somewhat smalish 😀 just as a simple on demand solution.
Maybe, I should go for a simple boom box?

By the way, AX510 is compatible with 2001FP which is a 4:3 monitor.

Just bought a 2001FP * for a very reasonable price and added my AX510 soundbar - works perfect for my DOS machines 😀

The Creative Stage Air is not bad and not very expensive. I have one on my PC. It has a 3.5mm input and the internal battery is charged over USB so I just leave it plugged into a USB port. Plus it's Creative so you can pretend it's retro still 😀
